California Tribal Consortia Review Compact
As reported by the Desert Sun: "With the ink barely dry on the new gaming deal for the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, the Palm Springs tribe hit the ground early Wednesday to ensure its 1999 compact is passed by state lawmakers."But first, tribal council chairman Richard Milanovich met with Team 2006, a consortia of seven tribes in Southern California that he said has met weekly since April to discuss strategy to advance Indian gaming initiatives with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
