Golden Gaming resubmitted its application on Wednesday to build and manage a state-owned hotel-casino in north eastern Kansas. The proposal would build the project in phases, something that was not allowed by Kansas officials during the initial round of bidding last year.
A South Dakota official says a proposed revision in the states' gaming compact with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe would make few substantial changes in the agreement that covers the tribe's casino in north-central South Dakota.
